The first task of our sketching training with Hans was to take around to draw different iterations of a drink bottle taking about one minute for each. This was quite challenging at first as I didn't really have that much time to think and was letting my hand do the work.
However, as I moved through the exercise I found I was doing it with much more ease.
Then, we were given the same task for a lamp. This time I felt for comfortable and was happy to let my hand do the work.

Our challenge after the workshop was to do the same for a chair but take around 30 min in total. I was in the same mindset for the first few iterations but then as I moved through the task, my brain started to take over again and I started thinking about what I was drawing a bit too much. I found that this made my sketches less free and different from each other.
So I found that in order for me to actually come up with ideas I like, I need to think more with my hand rather than my head.
